SHALLOW INLET
A swimming beach set amongst enormous sand dunes with a view to Wilsons Promontory.
Entry Fee: $3 per day during peak season Season Pass: $20 for whole peak season
A 5 minutes drive or an enjoyable walk from Dakhani Holiday Homes.
Set aside to become a marine park it is a fertile breeding ground for many fish including whiting and flounder.
It is known world wide by windsurfers where annual competitions are held.
It is also recognized world wide for the speed sailing record venue.
Ideal for sailing, kite/wind surfing, water skiing, beach/boat fishing, walking.
BBQ facilities.
SANDY POINT SURF BEACH
A surfing beach stretching for kilometres as part of Waratah Bay.
It is a safe surf beach ideal for surfing and fishing.
In Summer it is patrolled by the local Surf Lifesaving Club which has a modern venue situated in the hummocks overlooking the surf which is available to the public.
In January the Lifesaving Club holds activities for children.
Also in January there is an annual fun run from one end of the bay to the other.
GENERAL STORE
Sandy Point has its own General Store and Cafe where most of ones eating requirements can be met. Groceries, delicatessen, fruit and vegetables, cafe, liquor.
Fish Creek and Foster also have a variety of shops worth visiting which are 25 minutes drive from Sandy Point.
Tariffs: Autumn Rates - From $280 for a weekend and $850 for 7 days. Winter Rates - From $320 for a weekend, $600 for 5 days and $850 for 7 days. Summer Rates - From $470 for a weekend, $900 for 5 days, $1,050 for 7 days and $1,400 for 10 days.
