Grand Ridge is a fully self-contained modern 2-bedroom holiday house (2 queen size beds with quality linen supplied) specifically for couples who appreciate quality.

It is equipped with a modern kitchen encompassing a convectional microwave oven, dishwasher and quality cooking utensils.

It also contains TV (excellent reception with all Melbourne stations), VCR, DVD, dryer and washing machine as well as all the comforts of a modern home.

A 6-place dining table with lovely rattan chairs as well as a very comfortable leather lounge suite to stretch out on await you.

For those who like the feeling of warmth when its cooler, there is an enclosed fireplace with a large glass door for watching the flames lick away!

Even when weather engulfs Grand Ridge, it's a delight watching it all pass from the comfort of the leather lounge suite right by the fire!!!

For the romantics, this is as good as it gets.

If you want to cook that special meal, then there is also a choice of either cooking inside on modern hotplates or outside on any one of 3 BBQ's, one being a Weber, the other two, a gas and wooden BBQ. See the main picture/s for the setting of the wooden BBQ with seats.

Grand Ridge is nearly all glass at the front and the rear has large windows also that look out onto an array of native plants.

The windows can all be opened to let the air flow through for those that are into a feeling of being outdoors whilst enjoying the comforts of indoor luxury furniture. Don't worry; every window has a flywire to keep the pests at bay!!!

The house was architect designed to take in the light (which can be controlled by Holland blinds), is romantic, peaceful and located in tranquil surroundings to make you feel relaxed.

The only sounds you are likely to hear are cows and the birds. Occasionally a pair of eagles fly over to keep an eye on things!!!

There are truly superb views from an open plan living area, even when sitting or lying down on the leather lounge suite.

Sitting on one of the comfortable outdoor chairs on the undercover front deck in the late afternoon and evening enjoying watching the long shadows form across the valley as the sun sets or witnessing natures storms roll through are delights you are hardly likely to forget for a long time to come.

This is a place where nature often turns on spectacular entertainment. For example you may wake at some hour of the morning to see the valley full of fog with a full moon illuminating it. Rather like a fairytale setting.

Grand Ridge is set in a secluded location on 20 acres of sloping pasture and a variety of bird attracting trees amongst the rolling green hills of beautiful South Gippsland, central to peaceful and largely uninhabited coastline. Lots of beaches to walk on are only 35 minutes drive away through lovely scenic rural settings. Venus Bay is one such beach... a drive through Koonwarra to get there is a treat on its own.

It is the only accommodation facility located right on the tourist classified Grand Ridge Road in that region and is a 15 minute leisurely drive on a sealed road from Leongatha, a town that has all the modern conveniences. There are numerous outdoor activities (drives, bike rides, hikes, etc.) detailed in an extensive information pack for your arrival. Grand Ridge is great for walks, hikes, bikes (Grand Ridge Road is perfect for it), fishing, tennis (courts nearby), bird watching or simply re-charging your batteries.

In fact we are so confidant that our descriptions will match what you will experience and more, we offer a full refund if you are genuinely not satisfied with your stay!!! Now that's something rarely offered these days.

For the health of others, about the only house rules we ask clients to assist with are no smoking inside and shoes are left off at the door and dishes etc are washed. (Don't worry; the 100% wool carpet will keep your feet warm). Sorry, no pets allowed or children.

Awesome. Wow what a fantastic short break! Grand Ridge was everything we had anticipated and more. Over the last twelve or so years we have stayed in quite a few cottages/Farm stays/B&Bs and would rate this property amongst very best. The house was spotlessly clean and very cosy, the views magnificent and above all the thing we loved was the "PRIVACY & SECLUSION". Under the current drought conditions your garden looks exceptional and the proof was the unbelievable bird life.
